NAIROBI, July 22, 2026 – Global technology company Zoho has partnered with the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) to accelerate digital transformation among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), offering eligible businesses technology support, digital skills training and KSh65,000 in Zoho Wallet Credits.
The partnership was unveiled during Zoholics Kenya 2026, Zoho's annual user conference held in Nairobi, where company executives said the initiative is aimed at helping Kenyan businesses adopt digital technologies, improve productivity and strengthen long-term competitiveness.
Under the partnership, eligible KNCCI members will receive wallet credits worth KSh65,000, which can be used to access Zoho's suite of more than 60 cloud-based business applications covering customer relationship management, accounting, collaboration, finance, human resources and other business functions.
Speaking during the conference, Premanand Velumani, Associate Director for Strategic Growth at Zoho Middle East and Africa (MEA), said the collaboration reflects the company's commitment to building stronger local business ecosystems across East Africa.
"As we continue expanding our presence in East Africa, our focus remains on creating meaningful local impact through collaboration," said Velumani.
He said the partnership seeks to empower SMEs by increasing access to affordable technology, strengthening digital capabilities and reducing barriers that have slowed digital transformation among many businesses.
Velumani added that the initiative aligns with Zoho's "transnational localism" strategy, which focuses on supporting self-sustaining local economies while keeping businesses globally competitive.
Zoho Kenya Country Head Veerakumar Natarajan said Kenya remains one of the company's fastest-growing markets, driven by increasing demand for integrated business software.
"Kenya continues to be one of our fastest-growing markets as more businesses embrace digital transformation to improve resilience and competitiveness," said Natarajan.
He noted that the growing adoption of artificial intelligence is changing how organisations operate, making unified digital platforms increasingly important for improving efficiency and driving growth.
According to Zoho, the company's revenue in Kenya grew by 55 per cent in 2025, while its operations in the country have expanded nearly 18-fold over the last eight years, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 44 per cent.
Company officials attributed the growth to increased demand from both public and private sector organisations seeking integrated cloud-based business solutions.
Zoho also revealed that it now serves more than 2,000 customers in Kenya and maintains an annual customer retention rate of over 90 per cent, which it said reflects growing confidence in its products among local businesses and government institutions.
Among Zoho's most popular products in Kenya are Zoho One, Zoho Workplace, Zoho CRM, CRM Plus and Zoho Books, with the strongest adoption coming from the financial services, manufacturing, insurance, telecommunications and information technology sectors.
The company also highlighted its privacy-first approach to technology, noting that it does not own customer data, sell customer information or display advertisements, even on its free products. Zoho said it continues to strengthen its cybersecurity framework through data encryption, two-factor authentication, ISO 27001 certification and SOC 2 Type II compliance.
Speaking during the launch, KNCCI Nairobi Chairman Dr. James Mwaura said the partnership will enable chamber members to access world-class business technology alongside the training and technical support needed to maximise its value.
"Through this partnership, our members will gain access not only to world-class business technology but also the training and support needed to successfully adopt and leverage these solutions," he said.
Beyond technology access, Zoho said it will provide onboarding support, product training, workshops and digital skills programmes to help businesses successfully implement the software and improve operational efficiency.
The partners also announced plans to jointly organise awareness campaigns, business events and educational programmes aimed at promoting digital adoption among SMEs and demonstrating how technology can drive sustainable business growth.
The partnership marks another milestone in Zoho's continued expansion across Africa as the company deepens its investment in local talent, strategic partnerships and digital innovation to support the continent's growing entrepreneurial ecosystem.
